Cruising for Churches & Charities
NO JOKE!! The Easiest & Fastest Way To Raise Money
Fundraising cruises? What a great idea to help support your organization!
Over 8 Million Americans took a cruise last year and an even higher number will take a cruise this year. Do you know how many of those cruisers were YOUR members? Do you know how many were family, friends and neighbors of YOUR members? By converting those cruise passengers into YOUR cruise passengers, you can raise thousands of dollars for your church or organization. Here's how: We will help you select an appropriate Cruise Line, Cruise date, ship and itinerary. You gather, guide and direct any potential cruisers from among your members, their families and friends onto your special cruise. As a result of their participation on your designated cruise, a portion of their cruise fare, PLUS matching funds from Cruise Planners now directly benefit your church or organization. It's that easy! And we do all the work - meetings as needed, handling deposits, reservations, payments and travel documents. We will also place your Cruise details on our web sites to invite others to participate. We will provide you with materials such as postcards and brochures to help with your promotion. Your only job is to inform your membership and your community about the new fundraiser through your web site, meetings, social events, weekly services, newsletters or bulletins. What could be more fun than a cruise as a fundraiser? Onboard a Cruise ship your members will enjoy fun activities, fabulous meals, the Spa program, lavish Vegas-style shows, a friendly casino and all the pampering service cruises are famous for.
If members of your church, organization and community like to travel, you can raise money with Your Own Fund Raising Cruise!
Why should you try a Cruise as a fundraiser?
Because it's easy! The target participants for your Cruise are folks who have cruised in the past or are planning a cruise in the near future. Your members, their families and their friends are out there right now thinking about cruising. Soon they will be making the decision on which cruise to take. Why not give them a reason to sail on a cruise designed to benefit your fundraising effort? Since family and friends tend to vacation together, you will also gain access to potential new contributors who have disposable income and can assist you with future events. Remember, people who have a truly great cruise experience will cruise again and again with potential for more fundraisers at sea!
How does your cruise get promoted?
You can promote your cruise through your web site, your newsletters, Cruise Planners weekly specials, meetings, services or any type of advertising you prefer. We will supply you with brochures, postcards and other print media to help with your promotion. Additionally, we will list your cruise on Cruise Planners web site www.CruisePlannersOfNC.com to invite others to join in your fundraising efforts. How does your organization make money with a Fund Raising?
- Your group makes money by:
- "Marketing up" the per person cruise rate
- Using the "free" cabins as additional fundraising devices or converting directly into fundraising cash.
- More specifically, we obtain a group rate from the cruise lines. You then "mark up" the per person price - the amount is up to you.
Cruise Planners will match up to $5.00 per person per day (first and second passengers only). For example: 3 day cruise / $30.00 per cabin 4 day cruise / $40.00 per cabin 5 day cruise / $50.00 per cabin 7 day cruise / $70.00 per cabin 10 day cruise / $100.00 per cabin For every 15 cabins your group sells, the 16th cabin is free (2 berths). You can take the cash value of the free cabin and add it to your fundraising totals. Or you can raffle or auction off the free cabin for additional money.
How much money can you make?
Let's say 20 cabins are sold on a 7-day cruise. You marked up the cabin price by $70.00 ($35.00 per person based on two in a cabin). Cruise Planners matches the $70.00 - now you have $140.00 per cabin x 20 cabins = $2800.00 Total Fundraising for your organization.
Don't forget the free cabin you've earned. You can turn the value of the cabin back into cash - if the per person cruise price was $500.00 - you now have and additional $1000.00 for your group or a Total Fundraising = $3800.00.
-OR-
You can sell 500 raffle tickets for that free cabin at $10.00 a ticket for a chance to win the free cruise. Total raffle dollars raised for the free cruise - $5000.00
See how it adds up?
When do you get paid?
After the sailing, Cruise Planners will send a check, made payable to your organization and I will deliver it to you. When can you use the free cabin? The free must be used during the group cruise. When can we sail on a Fund Raiser Cruise? With the exception of the holidays and extremely high volume periods, almost anytime is available for a group fundraising cruise. Where can we sail on our cruise? Cruise Ships cruise to the Caribbean, Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda, New England & Canada, Alaska and Hawaii from many different ports in Florida, California, Texas, Louisiana, Mexico and now the eastern seaboard of the U.S. Some of the new departure ports are within easy driving distance from most major cities. Can we have private meetings or socials? Yes, we can arrange special events just for your group. Can we dine together as a group? We can make arrangements to have your group seated together for dinner or, if you prefer, everyone may dine as they please. The choice is yours.
